Sandee Traasdahl

Pre-Licensed Therapist

I am a pre-licensed clinical mental health counselor currently completing my internship under the supervision of Julie Russomano, LPC. I am pursuing a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University and hold a B.S. in Communication from Arizona State University.
My primary therapeutic approach is person-centered, and I integrate a strengths-based perspective to help clients recognize and build upon their innate resilience. I am also TRAINED IN Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ individuals, religious trauma, faith transitions, life transitions, and those navigating chronic health conditions. My goal is to create a compassionate, affirming space where clients feel heard and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.
Beyond my professional work, I have been married for 40 years and am a proud mother of four adult children and grandmother to five amazing grandkids. I have lived all over the world, which has given me a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and perspectives. I bring this global experience into my counseling practice, embracing each client’s unique journey with empathy and understanding.
I applaud your courage in taking the first step on your healing journey. I would love to help you along the way.
