My name is Colleen (she/her) and I am a pre-licensed intern and graduate student! I am pursuing a Master of Counseling degree at Arizona State University. I currently hold a BA in Spanish Literature and certificates in Brazilian Studies and Translation from ASU, which I completed in 2020.
My approach is rooted in the belief that trauma responses are not personal failings or illnesses, but expressions of resilience and resistance developed to protect us in the face of danger, oppression, and systemic harm. I work from a client-centered perspective that honors each person as the expert of their own lived experience.
I place a strong value on client autonomy, collaboration, and curiosity, and I strive to create a therapeutic space where clients feel respected, affirmed, and in control of their own healing process. I am especially interested in working with neurodivergent and 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, and my goal is to offer care that is culturally responsive, affirming, and empowering.
